TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Crimson Tide came out on fire in game one of their series against #6 Arkansas with a 12-1 win. The bats never got cold in their travels to Fayetteville.

 

Nothing went wrong for Alabama as they cruised through game one against the Razorbacks. The entire lineup was present for the Crimson Tide as they had 22 total hits. Every starter for Alabama had at least one hit and eight of those nine batters had a multiple hit game.

 

Game one looked to be a pitcher’s duel through the first three innings. Both teams were able to bring across a run making the score 1-1 going into the fourth inning. The Crimson Tide took over from there.

 

Alabama brought in three runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth. The offensive lineup gave a marginal lead for the bullpen to close out the game for the Tide.

 

Not only was the offense alive for Alabama against the Razorbacks, but the defense was flawless. 

 

Sophomore starting pitcher, Ben Hess, tallied his fourth win of the season bumping his record to 4-0 on the season. His final line was 4.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, and 5 K’s. 

 

Relief pitchers Banks and Ball came in to finish the game and shut down the Razorbacks. Arkansas only produced one hit against the Crimson Tide bullpen through five innings.

 

Overview

 

Alabama extends their overall record to 21-6. They improve their SEC record to 3-4 on the season as they stand in third place in the SEC West division.
