BATON ROUGE, La. –The Tide rolled into Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday afternoon and embarrassed the Tigers on their home field. Alabama continues to look as good as ever, as they pick up their ninth straight win and extend their unbeaten streak to 13. The Tide now hold an impressive 13-1-1 record and look to continue to rise in next week’s rankings.

The depth of the Tide was in full display on Sunday, as their five goals came from five different scorers. Junior midfielder Kate Henderson scored the opening goal in the 20th minute, her fourth goal of the year. Star freshman Gianna Paul continued to prove how valuable she can be off the bench for the Tide, as she scored her fifth goal of the season.

Alabama continued to put on a clinic in the second half with goals from Felcia Knox, Reyna Reyes and Riley Mattingly Parker.

Parker has been one of the most lethal goal scorers in all of NCAA Division 1 this year as she is now tied for fifth in the country for goals scored on the year with 11.

Alabama sits in the top spot of the SEC West standings, as their win against the Tigers gives them an unbeaten record of 6-0 in conference play. The Tide have just four games remaining in the regular season, and the chances of them heading into the postseason as a one-loss team begins to seem more and more likely.

The Tide will be back in action next Sunday after a one week hiatus, hosting the Arkansas Razorbacks. The ninth ranked Razorbacks will arguably be the best team the Tide will face this season.

One thing is for sure, Wes Hart will have this team ready to play, just as he has all season.
