Tuscaloosa, Ala.– The Alabama Crimson Tide were faced with a neutral cite game at the home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas against the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders. It was a sellout crowd and the energy was prevalent throughout the game.
Through the first three innings there was little action, as Jacob McNairy dealt three scoreless Innings. In the fourth however Jeremiah Boyd crushed a three run homer to left center. Following Boyd’s homer Gabe Jennings had an RBI single, leaving the Tide trailing 4-0.
Immediately after giving up four runs the Tide answered, as the ball started flying once the sun went down. William Hamiter launched a double, followed by an Ed Johnson RBI single making it 4-2. The hits just kept coming as Tommy Seidl smoked an RBI double. In the fourth the Tide had four runs off five hits.
Then Andrew Pinckney hit a monster home run off the batters eye, giving the Tide their first lead of the night.
In the 8th the Tides offense closed the door as Seidl, Guscette, Shelton, and Williamson all had RBIs in an inning made up mostly of walks and RBI groundouts, leaving the Final at 10-4.
