The Alabama men’s and women’s track and field teams collected three wins at the Indiana Relays Saturday, Jan. 30. The relays were highlighted by senior Justin Fondren, junior Quanesha Burks and sophomore Daniel Haugh. Burks, after winning the long jump event last weekend, won the 60-meter sprint with a time of 7.45.

“This was a challenging weekend for us in a few ways,” said head coach Dan Waters. “I think we responded well today. We continue to get great performances in the field events, which is encouraging. And Quanesha only gets better with each week.”

Fondren won the high jump event when he reached a height of 7-1 3/4 (2.18m), his best mark of the season. Haugh won the weight throw title with a distance of 67-8 3/4 (20.64m). Next up for Alabama, the Crimson Tide will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the New Mexico Classic & Multis Feb. 5.
