The No. 1 Alabama women’s golf team finished third at the PING/ASU Invitational this weekend. The Crimson Tide shot a 3-under final round of 285 for its best score of the tournament. Freshman Cheyenne Knight and senior Janie Jackson both carded a 2-under 70. Senior Emma Talley added an even par round of 72. Sophomore Nicole Morales carded a 1-over 73, rounding out the team’s total. Sophomore Lakareber Abe scored a 2-over 74.

The Crimson Tide finished with a three day total of 859 (-5).

Junior Cammie Gray competed as an individual and shot a 1-over 73 in the final round. Gray finished with a total score of 227 and in a tie for 50th.

The UCLA Bruins won the tournament after holding the lead from day one on. The Bruins three-day total of 852 was good enough to beat the second-place Arizona Sate Sun Devils by 6 (858).
