As the first week of the 2017 NFL season comes to a close, some Alabama alumni have embarked on a new quest to lead their teams to a championship, while others are hungry to make the leap to the game’s upper echelon. From All-Pros and Pro Bowlers to recently drafted rookies, here are the top performances from former Alabama players in week one:

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper had five catches for 62 yards and a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans. His touchdown was one of the signature plays from Week 1, as he spun out of one tackle, broke through another, and then refused to be brought down until he crossed the goal line.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker and two-time Pro Bowler C.J. Mosley made eight tackles to help the Ravens shut out the Cincinnati Bengals. He also intercepted a pass from Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton in the end zone and returned it 33 yards.
Detroit Lions defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson made three tackles against the Arizona Cardinals and also forced a fumble by Cardinals star running back David Johnson. The fumble was recovered by the Lions, who trailed 17-9 at the time but rallied to win 35-21.
Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson turned heads in his NFL debut with his success at neutralizing the Houston Texans’ J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney, two of the most feared pass rushers in the NFL. …read more
