True freshman Jordan Lewis claims SEC Freshman of the Week title for her play in the first week of the season. She is the first Alabama freshman to win the honor since 2014.
Lewis is leading all SEC freshmen in scoring with 16 points per game, which is 14th overall in the conference. She is also ranked 12th in rebounding, seventh in shooting percentage and 30th in minutes played.
In the Crimson Tide’s last victory, Lewis scored 21 points, shooting 67 percent from the field, and collected seven rebounds.
Lewis and the rest of the Crimson Tide face Lipscomb on Thursday at 7 p.m in Coleman Coliseum.
