Prior to this game coach Nick Saban’s longest winning streak at Alabama was 19 games. He surpassed that mark and extended the streak to 20 on Saturday with the Crimson Tide’s 33-14 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Allen recovered a fumble and returned it late in the third quarter to extend the Crimson Tide’s streak of non-offensive touchdowns to 10 games. That was Allen’s second of the season and the team’s 12th.Nick Saban’s halftime quote: “Well, we dominated the game in lots of ways and didn’t get enough points – didn’t take advantage of the points we had opportunities to get in the red zone. He finished with four tackles and one pass break up.Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts began the day 7-of-13 for 53 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. He settled into a rhythm late in the second quarter and threw for an additional 93 yards.Through the first seven games this season, tight end O.J. Howard had 14 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown. On Saturday he caught eight receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown.Alabama kicker Adam Griffith had his number called several times on Saturday.
