Middle blocker Krystal Rivers earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third consecutive week, giving Rivers the most weekly conference awards of any player in Alabama history.

The redshirt senior totaled 54 kills in nine sets over the weekend, helping lead Alabama to a 3-0 performance in the Hampton Inn Crimson-White Tournament. She averaged six kills per set and earned MVP honors. She also became second all-time in Alabama history in career kills. She has 1,710, which is just 380 short of Erin Heffner’s first place total of 2,090.

Rivers and Alabama have a tough weekend this season, as the Crimson Tide opens up its SEC slate at home against No. 16 Texas A&M on Friday night at 6 p.m. Alabama also plays No. 7 Florida on Sunday at 12 p.m.
