After Alabama took care of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 38-10 on Saturday. The coaching staff chose 11 players of the week for the home opener.

On offense O.J. Howard, Calvin Ridley and Jonah Williams were named. The offense put together 475 yards in the win. Ridley was a standout and the leading receiver with 129 yards and a touchdown. The 129 yards is a personal best for the sophomore.

On defense, Jonathan Allen, Ronnie Harrison, Marlon Humphrey and Eddie Jackson earned honors for the week. The defense shut down the Hilltopper offense only allowing 10 points and 23 rushing yards. Harrison and Jackson both had interceptions, but Jackson returned his for a 55-yard touchdown.

Minkah Fitzpatrick, Adam Griffith, Keith Holcombe and JK Scott were named for special teams. Fitzpatrick highlighted the special teams with two tackles including a forced fumble.
