On Wednesday, former Alabama point guard Justin Coleman announced his commitment to continue his career at Samford. Coleman first announced his decision to transfer on March 30.

Coleman finished the 2015-2016 season, averaging 7.8 points per game with the Crimson Tide. He scored a season high 24 points against eventual NCAA No. 1 seed Oregon in Birmingham on Dec. 21 and later scored 21 against LSU on the road in a Feb. 17 showdown with the Tigers.

Coleman will have to sit out the 2016-2017 season due to transfer rules, but his eventual return to the court will be a homecoming of sorts for the former Wenonah player.
