Alabama baseball has lost six of the last 10 games it has
played, including an 8-0 loss to UAB on March 22. Alabama has a 4-3 record on
midweek games, and will play UAB once again on Tuesday night with the first pitch set for 6:30. Then the Crimson Tide will be
looking to get revenge while also turning things around towards the win column.

Alabama sits at 19-13 overall, and many of the wins have
been credited to the success of the pitching staff. Alabama’s earned run
average is ranked No. 33 in the nation at 3.28. In midweek games though,
Alabama has given up an average of 4.78 runs per game. Mike Oczypok and Jon
Keller have both struggled in recent midweek starts, giving Brock Love and Jake
Hubbard a chance in last week’s midweek doubleheader against Alcorn State.
Alabama was able to sweep the two games, and it will be interesting to see who
coach Mitch Gaspard will decide to throw on Tuesday.

UAB has struggled
since playing Alabama last, going 3-8. UAB now has an overall record of 12-20
going into Tuesday.
