Alabama practiced indoors ahead of its season opener against Wisconsin this Saturday.


The quarterbacks were inconsistent during Wednesday’s practice. Cooper Bateman threw two sharp passes to transfer receiver Richard Mullaney, but overthrew Cam Sims shortly afterwards. Robert Foster showed crispness in his route-running on Saturday, making cuts back to the left sideline with ease. Running back Bo Scarbrough wore a white No. 6 jersey, presumably meant to represent Wisconsin running back Corey Clement, the Badgers’ starting running back and standout Melvin Gordon’s replacement.

Alabama coach Nick Saban will address the media at 6 p.m. tonight.
