The Alabama men’s basketball team is set to take on Canada in an eight day road trip. The team will make two stops, first in Montreal then in Ottawa.

It plays three games, with the first against McGill University on Aug. 7. The team travels to Ottawa to play the other two games against Carleton University (Aug. 9) and the University of Ottawa (Aug. 10). All the games will be streamed online.

This trip will kick off the Crimson Tide’s season, which is the most anticipated in the last six years. After head coach Avery Johnson brought in a top-10 recruiting class, Alabama is expected to be a preseason top-25 team for the first time since 2011.

Alabama brings back four of its starters from last year, 58 percent of its rebounding, 77 percent of its scoring and 73 percent of its scoring from last year.

Dazon Ingram will also return for his sophomore year. Ingram was the only player that started every game last year for Alabama. He led the team in three different categories, steals (0.9), assists (3.3) and three point percentage (42.9 percent).
