Week 12 in the NFL brought many tightly contested games that came down to the wire. It was also a week that saw a few winning streaks continue with the Miami Dolphins (6), New York Giants (6), and the Dallas Cowboys (10). Once again, former Alabama standouts made their mark in the NFL, it is time to see just how successful they were.
Beginning with the offensive side of the ball, running back Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans carried the ball eight times for 60 yards and found the end zone for just the second time in his young career.

Down in New Orleans, Mark Ingram put on a show for the home crowd in one of the best games of his career. Ingram rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries and added a receiving touchdown too. The running back had over 160 total yards in the blowout win over the Los Angeles Rams.

The normally prolific wide receiver duo in Julio Jones and Amari Cooper were relatively held in check. Cooper, for the Oakland Raiders, recorded just four catches for 22 yards and no touchdown, while Jones, for the Atlanta Falcons, had just four catches for 35 yards.
Flipping to the other side of the ball, the defensive specialists from Alabama showed up once again in week 12 and in a big way.
In a monday night clash with the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix snagged his third interception of the year and coupled that with three more tackles. The NFL took notice of the interception as well.
Sticking with the secondary, defensive player of the year candidate Landon Collins of the surging New York Giants put up another solid stat line. In the win over the lowly Browns, Collins picked up seven tackles, which was second on the team. That is now 87 total tackles on the year for the young safety out of Alabama.
Although his team had a game to forget about, Mark Barron had a game that he won’t soon forget. Barron had 14 tackles, two of them went for a loss and a quarterback hit. Barron was everywhere for the Rams despite the crushing loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Linebacker CJ Mosley had a quiet day at the office for the Baltimore Ravens in the win over the Cincinnati Bengals. With just four tackles, the usual tackle machine was not able to get hit normal number but impacted the defense in ways statistics cannot show.
