For the second straight week Alabama is the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff rankings as determined by the committee.

Alabama, coming off the defensive showcase against LSU, would be playing No. 4 Washington Huskies.

Washington is the lone undefeated team in the PAC 12 and was left out of the playoffs in the last batch of rankings. In the only game since the first rankings came out, the Huskies played California and dismantled the Golden Bears by 49 points.

The other side of the bracket didn’t change with No. 2 Clemson playing No. 3 Michigan. Clemson trounced Syracuse in last week’s game winning 59-0. Michigan also won by large margin, beating Maryland by 56 points.

Ohio State moves to the No. 5 spot while Louisville is now up one spot at No. 6. Ohio State was in a top 10 match-up against Nebraska and ended the Huskers’ playoff chances, by winning 62-3. Louisville is coming off a seven-touchdown performance from Lamar Jackson in its 52-7 win against Boston College.

Florida, ranked No. 11 last week, fell out of the top 25 rankings, and LSU fell from No. 13 to No. 24 after the shutout loss to Alabama last week. Texas A&M dropped to No. 8 after losing to unranked Mississippi State.

Alabama looks to continue its undefeated season on Saturday against Mississippi State.
