Two Alabama players were recognized by the Southeastern Conference for their performance in the Crimson Tide’s shutout victory over LSU.

Linebacker Ryan Anderson was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after he assisted with six tackles and finished with one sack against the Tigers. He also recorded one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup.

His efforts, and that of his teammates held LSU to 125 yards of total offense and six first downs.

Punter JK Scott was named the Co-Special Teams Player of the Week after he punted five times for 258 yards (51.6 average yards per punt). His longest of the day (66 yards) is now Scott’s longest punt of the season.
