In its first practice since the Iron Bowl, Alabama worked indoors due to high winds and the threat of severe weather. The team ran through drills in shorts and helmets in preparation for its SEC Championship matchup with Florida on Saturday.

Notes:

Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who left last week’s game with an apparent thigh injury, was seen running through some of the drills in a regular, red jersey. However his legs were wrapped up. Fellow defensive back Shyheim Carter, who missed last week’s game, was also seen in a red jersey participating in drills.Linebackers worked on running under coverings and overall speed. Players like Rashaan Evans and Reuben Foster participated in these drills.Head coach Nick Saban helped a large group of defensive backs work one-on-one coverage on outside routes.A group of safeties worked on intercepting passes. Minkah Fitzpatrick, who has been bouncing back-and-forth between safety and the star position, worked with the safeties during this time. Trevon Diggs, who plays both ways, was also working with the defensive backs.Quarterbacks worked on bubble screens as well as intermediate routes. Jalen Hurts led the group as they threw passes to receivers in the back field then transitions to some longer routes over the middle of the field.Running backs worked on quickness in short situations.
