On Tuesday night the College Football Playoff Committee released its latest rankings and once again, the Crimson Tide found itself occupying the top spot.

If the playoff started today, Alabama would face No. 4 Clemson in a rematch of last year’s national championship. The other top two teams, Ohio State and Michigan, would face off on the other side of the bracket. Those two teams will get to sort things out on the field this week in Columbus, Ohio.

In the next two weeks the Crimson Tide will face No. 13 Auburn and No. 15 Florida. Alabama has already defeated No. 12 USC and No. 17 Tennessee.
