On Tuesday, the SEC recognized two Alabama players for their roles in the Crimson Tide’s 52-6 victory over No. 2- Southern Cal.

Defensive lineman Jonathan Allen was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after he recorded a team-high two sacks, four solo tackles and two pass break-ups one of which Allen almost hauled in an interception.

Right tackle Jonah Williams was honored as the SEC Freshman of the Week in his first collegiate game for his contributions to an offense that averaged 5.4 yards per rush and finished with 465 yards of total offense.
