The SEC will implement a clear bag policy this weekend for the SEC Championship game and SEC FanFare.

“The safety and security of our teams, fans and event personnel are a priority in our preparation for SEC Championship Weekend,” said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. “Considering recent events, we ask our fans to be attentive to their surroundings and to be patient as we implement measures that may provide some inconvenience but ultimately offer an environment of safety for those attending the weekend’s events.”

Prohibited items include camera bags, fanny packs, diaper bags and any other type of bag that is bigger than the allowed small clutch bag size.

Bags that meet SEC guidelines:

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 18” x 6” x 18”One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)Small clutch bags, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strapAn exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose

Strollers will also not be permitted inside the Georgia Dome. Fans will be able to drop off their strollers, and bags for approved clear bags at bag exchange locations.

Bag Exchange Stations will be found in the following locations:

International Plaza on East end of the Georgia DomeOutside North entrance of Building C of the World Congress CenterOutside South entrance of Building C of the World Congress CenterLobby inside Building B of the World Congress Center

The gates at the Georgia dome will open at 1:30 p.m. ET. Fans who arrive later than 3:30 p.m. ET risk missing kickoff.
